Youth

Our children are our future, and that’s not just a slogan. There’s never been a better time to be young around here.

There’s always a lot for the little ones around here, including the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes’ Pancake Breakfast with the Birds, and a Breakfast with Scientists where girls can spend time with seven women who work in different scientific fields at CMNH.

Brite Winter turns 10 this weekend, and our own CoolCleveland correspondent Jenna Thomas talks with Emily Appelbaum, who serves as artistic director of both Brite Winter and Ingenuity. We also have a feature on Niights, heading out on a national tour, but not before dropping their second LP, Hellebores, at a show at Mahall’s.

And as you’ll learn when you listen to our latest weekly PODCAST #21, Junior Achievement helps our local communities and youth, which you can support at their JA Bowl-a-Thon takes place next week. Take care of our youngsters, and they will take care of us. –Thomas Mulready
