Wade Oval Wednesday Features Carlos Jones AND Fireworks

Wed 6/27 @ 6-9PM

The blockbuster concert of the Wade Oval Wednesday series happens this week when Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band perform. That’s partly due to the upbeat energy of this ensemble and the sunny charisma of its frontman, who has been a star in the local reggae scene for 40 years. It’s also partly due to the fact that this week also features fireworks, always a big draw for Clevelanders.

Plan to come early, as this one gets packed. Follow the crowd to the green space between the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. (Look for the trees wrapped in red and white, promoting the art museum’s upcoming Yayoi Kusama show). Claim your space with your blanket or chair and then go grab some food from the many vendors and food trucks circling the Oval (You can also bring your own picnic). You’ll also find kids’ activities and games, and information tables from local organizations and government agencies. Expect the space by the stage to be packed with dancers from the first song!

It’s free.
