Vans Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman Speaks at Rock Hall Archives

Fri 2/16 @ 7PM

Promoter Kevin Lyman is best known in the music business for founding the long-running Vans Warped Tour which faithfully returns to the road each summer with its enormous roster of punk-based, hip-hop and indie rock bands on multiple stages, along with vendors, special activity tents and skateboard exhibitions. With its heavy emphasis on punk pop, its audience has skewed young and attracted many kids to music.

Lyman has now announced that the tour, which debuted in 1995, will be making its final coast-to-coast trip this summer (it’s at Blossom Music Center July 18, where the winner of this year’s High School Rock Off will get to perform on one of the event stages).

Want to learn about the background of the event, how it’s put together and some of the highlights of the past two decades? Lyman will be speaking at the Rock Hall Library & Archives at the Tri-C Metro campus. The event is free with a reservation. Go here.
