Artist/Musician Jacob Koestler Speaks at MOCA Cleveland About its Current Sound Art Show

Sat 1/20 @ 2:30PM

Artist/musician Jacob Koestler’s work has been seen around northeast Ohio at venues such as the Cleveland Print Room and the Transformer Station, with photography and video work looks at the post-industrial landscape of the Rust Belt.

Koestler, who teaches photography and video at the Cleveland Institute of Art, will be at MOCA Cleveland speaking on one of its current exhibitions, My heart’s in my hand, and my hand’s pierced…, by British artist Phil Collins (not the ’80s soft rock singer). That exhibit features listening stations where visitors can hear 7’ vinyl recordings Collins made featuring conversations with residents of a homeless shelter in Germany turned into songs by musicians such as Laetitia Sadier, Scritti Politti and David Sylvian.

It’s free with museum admission, which is $9.50. The Collins exhibit is on view through Sun 1/28.
