Plunge into the New Year on the Mill Stream Run Toboggan Chutes

Mon 1/1 @ noon-10:30PM

By the time everyone wakes up from staying up late to greet the new year and has breakfast, and the kids play with their holiday toys they’re starting to get tired of already, the inevitable chorus of “I’m bored” is bound to start.

So what to do on New Year’s Day, a day when everything is typically closed?

Good news! The toboggan chutes at Mill Stream Run Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks are open and will be offering downhill thrills all day until late this evening. The two chutes — which are open regardless of temperature — take passengers soaring down a 700-foot icy course, the tallest and fastest in Ohio.

An all-day adult ticket is $12; kids 11 and younger are $10 all day. A one-ride tickets is $6. And the nearby chalet offers a spot to warm up and have some refreshment.
