The days are winding down and soon it will be Christmas Day, as the song says. Do you have all your gifts? Do you have that special food item to take to that open house as a hostess gift? Or something to embellish your own holiday table?
If not, stop by the LEAF Community’s Holiday Market at the Garfield Middle School. The Lakewood summer market is hosting this special market to showcase locally made food items and crafts as well as seasonal produce (Yes, there’s still some around).
You’ll find pastas and sauces, salsas and jams, baked goods and pierogies and local honey, along with non-edibles like soaps, ceramics, upcycled bags, crocheted items, handmade toys and pillow, cookbooks and more. There’ll as be hot soups and homemade cookies available to eat while you browse the more than two dozen vendors. Everything’s local!
