Designer and Project Runway alum Valerie Mayen may have closed her Yellowcake shop in Gordon Square, but she’s still a vibrant part of Cleveland’s fashion scene, selling her Cleveland-made looks online and at artisan bazaars. Her latest collection, Heritage, plugs into the upcycling trend, transforming old garments and textiles gleaned from five Rust Belt cities into entire new designs.

And of course, she’s still presenting her fashion show/fun bash Hullabaloo, now in its fifth year. Heritage fashions will be on display, along with others, and there’ll be complimentary food and a cash bar provided by local establishments, shopping from participating local vendors and dancing following the fashion show. You can also bid all the looks you see on the runway and possibly even win a piece of Yellowcake clothing.

Hullabaloo, taking place at the Nash in Slavic Village, also donates some of its proceeds to worthy causes. A portion of the main event proceeds will go to promoting awareness of the work of the Greater Cleveland Food Bar, while all the bar proceeds will benefit the PMP Cancer Research Foundation.

Tickets range from $30-$250 depending on how much of a VIP experience you want. Go here to order.
