If you’re about all thing herbal — whether you grow herbs or just like to enjoy their culinary and health benefits — you’ll want to heard down to the Cleveland Botanical Garden for the 71st annual Western Reserve Herb Society Herb Fair.
These are the people that maintain the CBG’s beautiful herb garden so you know they know their stuff. They bring their herbs and the products they make from them — honey, vinegars, soup mixes, jellies and jams, teas, baked goods and more. A special focus this year is Herb of the Year, pepper, and products made from them. You’ll also find books, cards, soaps, scrubs, wreathes and dried arrangements, and other herb-themed items. It’s a great place to get a head start on your holiday gift shopping.
The members of the herb society will also be sharing their expertise on growing and using herbs in talks throughout the event, as well as an “Ask the Expert” booth. And they’ll be giving tours of the outdoor herb garden. It’s free with regular CBG admission, $11 for adults, $6 for kids 3-12.
