Robert Perez started the barbershop in the 5th Street Arcades back in 1995 with a banker downtown named Cosmo who owned it. They put their names together and the place became Bobby C’s.
The only problem: Cosmo had no clue how to cut hair!
Bobby noticed that a lot of young downtown customers came by looking for a contemporary cut, but Cosmo wasn’t on board. So Bobby bought out his partner, and since then, the business has gone straight up. They moved to a larger location in the 5th Street Arcades in 2013. Now all barbers have at least 25 years of professional, licensed barber experience.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean, and it’s a real hotspot for selfies.
Bobby’s son Robert Perez Jr., an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer, encouraged his dad to go to back to school so he could go into the barbershop business. He even offered to pay his dad’s expenses. A week later, he passed away in the line of duty.
Now Bobby C’s is dedicated to Robert Perez, Jr., and his photo, badges and awards hang proudly among the other memorabilia in the shop.
Give Bobby a call or stop in for a great cut!
