The Painesville Party in the Park boasts that it’s Ohio’s largest free music festival, and it certainly provides a lot of fun and entertainment for the cost.
The three-day event, taking place in downtown Painesville, hosts a couple of dozen diverse music acts, both local and national, ranging from the gentle folk of duo Shawn and Shelby, to the jazz/funk of Rhythm Syndicate, to the family-friendly jam of Big Ship, to the party-ready reggae/funk/hip hop hybrid of Tropidelic. The music winds up Sunday evening as usual with Cleveland’s most popular reggae group, Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band.
But music isn’t all that brings people to Painesville from all over northeast Ohio. There’s tons of food, artisan vendors, booths from churches and nonprofit organizations, yoga and a Family Fun Zone with kids’ including inflatables, crafts activities, and entertainers such as Sparkles the Clown and Jungle Terry.
