There was a young lady from Kent who — went to the Kent Heritage Days Festival and enjoyed the thing immensely, in a very positive, patriotic and wholesome manner.
Sorry, but with the Republicans coming to down, we’ve been having to Disney-fy the website considerably; no naughty limericks this summer.
And it is true, by the way, that the annual community festival in Kent is a nice family event, timed to coincide with the vicinity of July 4 and emphasizing neighborhood history and values.
The one-day carnival has more than 100 vendors of food, arts & crafts, souvenirs and services; a midway; three stages of continues music and dance entertainment; the NAPA Car Show cruise-in; a 5K run benefit for the United Way; and the “Ducks Over the Falls” fundraiser. A special children’s area will have rides and activities.
And a mighty fireworks display closes out the day. Admission is free to all.
