You don’t have to be an opera expert to enjoy Mostly Mozart Diva Edition, presented by the Great Lakes Light Opera. It will “bring all the glitz, glam and vocals that is sure to please the traditional and nontraditional opera enthusiast,” they promise. That undoubtedly means many of his familiar arias from his beloved comic operas, performed by this company whose mission is taking opera to informal settings where people can approach it on less forbidding terms.
And there’s nothing forbidding about where they’ll be performing this weekend: Cleveland Heights’ little storefront Kultivation Theater which describes itself as “a place where you can come hang out and feel free to let your creative juices flow.” It’s a hub for artistic and performance events of all kinds. Admission to Mostly Mozart is $20. Doors open at 7pm.
