Bay Village-based arts center BayARTS is calling their annual benefit Moondance “the party of the year,” and knowing them, it probably will be. Guests can expect a real feast, with food provided more than a dozen local restaurants and caterers including Michael Symon’s B-Spot, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Rosewood Grill and Taki’s Greek Kitchen. Music will be provided by one of the area’s favorite party bands, swamp rockers Cats on Holiday. And they are promising a yuuuuuuge silent auction.

Every year, the event honors a mover and shaker in the arts community, and this year, it’s honoring someone who moves and shakes like no one else: Liz Maugans (pictured), co-founder of Zygote Press and its offshoot Ink House on Waterloo Road, and the person who came up with the idea for the Collective Arts Network and the arts quarterly CAN Journal.

Tickets are $125 and you’d better act fast because the event always sells out. That’s how you know it is a real fun party!
