The Third Year Will Be Even Bigger for @CellarDoorCle Rendezvous in August

CellarDoor

Tue 8/4-Sat 8/9

If you’ve been wondering whether the multi-band Cellar Door Rendezvous called it quits after two hugely successful events at the Beachland, wonder no more. It’s been moved to August, and it’s going to be even bigger this year. The Cleveland-based production company has put together a six-event at multiple venues spotlighting an array of local talent.

The main event will take place Fri 8/7 at the House of Blues when Seafair (pictured), whose sound is already pretty sweeping and symphonic, will perform with a 30-piece orchestra created especially for the show. The mind boggles! The Modern Electric, the Moxies and Ottawa will fill out there bill.

The opening night party will take place Tue 8/4 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum when speakers from the music scene will present a PechaKucha-style program.

On Wed 8/5 singer-songwriters Tom Evanchuck, Megan Zurkey Stephanie Trivison, John Kalman and Josh Voland will perform their music and talk about how they write at Brothers Lounge.

On Thu 8/6 at MOCA Midnight Passenger and Cities and Coasts will perform a free show. On Sat 8/8, the action moves back to the Beachland with a huge night in the tradition of the previous Rendezvouses with eight bands playing in the Ballroom and the Tavern: Obnox, Nights, Goldmines, the Commonwealth, By Light We Loom, So Long Albatross, Ageless Males and Sammy Slims.

It wraps up Sun 8/9 at the Grog Shop with Smoke Noises, Common Ave, Archie Green, and Leroi Da Moor and the Fanon.
