Paper Moon Vineyards was established in 2006 by Richard Cawrse and his son Adam to continue a four-generation family tradition of owning a business, moving the focus from food to wine. In 2008, they planted 4,000 vines on the 50-acres property located just west of the Vermilion River, and they produced their first wines in 2012.
Not content to stand still, they also became a cidery in 2015, producing hard cider from local, fresh-pressed apples. You can try both their wine and their cider in the tasting room with its covered outdoor patio overlooking a grassy courtyard and a view of the vineyard. Come relax indoors or out and enjoy a glass of wine or cider with something from a menu that includes selections such as paninis, flat bread pizzas, ciabatta bread with oil, cheese plates and hummus. And there’s live music every Friday and Saturday evening.
