Guitarist/singer/songwriter Chris Allen first impacted the local music scene with his much-praised jangly roots-rock Rosavelt in the ’90s. Since then, he’s become one of the scene’s busier musicians, performing acoustic solo dates, playing with his band the Guilty Hearts, and participating in numerous side projects including the Lonesome Stars, The Boys from the County Hell and the holiday-themed Ohio City Singers, which he founded. Later last year he released his fourth solo album Everything Changes But the Rodeo.
Rosavelt reunited to put out The Last 10 Days in 2012. Since then Allen occasionally gets back together with Rosavelt’s other frontman/songwriter Kevin Grasha to do a live reunion show and play all the old tunes their fans loved. Another of those rare occurrences will take place at the Music Box Supper Club.
Better still, it’ll give Allen’s fans a dose of old and new because the Guilty Hearts will share the bill, playing Allen’s more recent stuff.
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of show.
