If it’s reggae happening in the Cleveland area, you know you’re going to hear about it from promoter/DJ Packy Malley, who’s the guy behind the annual Midwest Reggae Fest and the ClevelandReggae.com website.
So it’s no surprise he’s presenting the CD release party for Columbus’ Ark Band newest album Fire Dub, taking place at the Grog Shop. The band, whose members originally hail from the Caribbean and Africa as well as the U.S., has long been collecting fans for its appealing mix of reggae, calypso and soca.
The event will also feature music from Cleveland-based Jamaican artist Ras Pablo and his band True Culture. Cleveland’s favorite reggae personality Carlos Jones hosts.
Tickets are $10.
