Multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent have credentials that reach deep into the bluegrass scene. When they formed Dailey & Vincent in 2007, they’d already racked up years of experience with award-winning ensembles like Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.
But Dailey & Vincent the band also includes four other musicians who bring along a huge range of experience and accolades.
They include guitarist/mandolinist Jeff Parker who began playing gospel as a teenager before performing with bluegrass groups like Wilderness Trail and the Lonesome River Band; guitarist/vocalist Christian Davis, whose extensive background is in Christian music; fiddler B.J. Cherryholmes, who fronts his own Grammy-nominated bluegrass ensemble Cherryholmes; and banjo player Jessie Baker, who has played with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, among others.
Darrin & Vincent have released six albums including last year’s Brothers of the Highway. It’s unlikely that any album could capture the jaw-dropping musicianship these six musicians will display live when they perform an evening of their music at the Kent Stage. Chances are that will give all the players space to strut their stuff. It’s a show no bluegrass lover will want to miss.
Tickets are $27.50.
