The Tavern Company’s space on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights sat empty for a couple of years after it moved scores the street to the former Brennan’s Colony location in 2016. That changed in early 2019 when, after a couple of years of work and serious remodeling, the Kensington Pub opened there.
While the owners did some major remodeling, including taking down a side wall and installing big windows, and upgraded the menu to include some dinner-style entrees (steaks, pork chops, lamb and the like), it’s still a place where you can come and grab a burger or sandwich or share some appetizers among friends, washing it down from the Pub’s long list of beers, both craft and mass-market. (Wine’s available too), and enjoy a game on the big-screen TVs. It’s all just hearty pub food. There’s even a kids’ menu. There’s also a stripped-down menu served from 10:30pm-2am seven days a week — but still substantial enough (burgers and sandwiches still available) to slake those late-night cravings.
