This Friday’s MIX happy hour event at the Cleveland Museum of Art is a very special event. The event is fittingly titled Muse – and is sure to inspire everyone in attendance. This month the CMA has teamed up with the global speaker series PechaKucha to present lectures by speakers on their muses, passions and projects. Each speaker will present 20 slides for 20 seconds each.
Visitors are invited to bring a friend, grab a cocktail and get inspired. Your admission includes the museum’s highly anticipated new exhibition Sicily: Art and Invention Between Greece and Rome. This exhibition celebrates the innovation of ancient Sicilian culture – including art, architecture, theater, poetry, philosophy and science.
On the bill: Tom Nix of Cleveland Whiskey, Brian Zimmerman of the Cleveland Metroparks and Cool Cleveland columnist and master storyteller Mansfield Frazier — plus others.
Advance tickets $8; $10 day of event. Members are free. Reservations are recommended.
