Merwin’s Wharf

Since acquiring control of waterfront property in 2012, a lot of changes have been taking place at the Cleveland Metroparks. One of these is the opening of a full-service restaurant called Merwin’s Wharf on the east bank of the Flats in its former cafe space at Rivergate Park.  Open for dinner Tuesday through Friday, with daytime hours as well on Saturday and Sunday, Marwin’s serves what is basically gussied-up pub food: appetizers like “Vega Nachos” and “Wharf Wings,” a selection of salads and burgers, and a handful of entrees — blueberry salmon, roasted chicken, rosemary mac & cheese and a “chef’s catch.” Its patio, featuring a fireplace and firepit, offers a view of the activity on the Cuyahoga River.
