Cleveland Metropolitan School District wins a PETA Compassionate School District Award for offering non-animal options to all science students in every one of the district’s schools. This means that if a CMSD student doesn’t want to dissect an animal, he/she doesn’t have to. An alternative is readily available.
“Thanks to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, science students at all levels will be able to choose not to dissect,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “The district’s compassionate decision shows respect for students and animals—and now all students will receive the highest-quality education available.” Way cool.
