Alex Bevan’s amiable personality, warm, pliable tenor and diverse repertoire of tunes, ranging from love songs to odes to Lake Erie to his most famous tune, the tongue-in-cheek “Skinny Little Boy (From Cleveland, Ohio) have made him a beloved performer in the region over the course of his 40-plus year career.

He seems to have never slowed down, releasing album after album and maintaining a steady performing schedule — and on top of that he and his wife have businesses on the side making pickles and baking bread.

And now he’s unveiling his 22nd album Dreams Came, the third part of a song cycle that included his previous albums 2010’s Fly Away and 2012’s I Have No Wings. He describes it as “the most intimate of the group.” He says, “Recorded over the winter, each song is a delicate performance consisting of a single guitar and my voice…. simple and direct… like I was sitting across from you.”

He’ll be celebrating with fans at Nighttown. Admission is $10.
