Producer Glyn Johns has a resume that’s bound to be the envy of anyone in the music business.
Among the bands he’s worked with are the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, the Whole, Bob Dylan, the Band, the Faces, Rod Stewart, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and even, very early in his career as a studio engineer, the Beatles (He worked on their final sessions, although none of his tracks made it to official release).
He’s got a new book called Sound Man: A Life Recording Hits with the Rolling Stones, the Who, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, the Faces… in which he dishes about those sessions and those stars. And he’ll be in Cleveland at the Black Box Theatre at the Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts to talk about it in an interview with Rock Hall education direction Jason Hanley, answer questions and sign copies(books will be available for purchase at the event).
