Contrapunctus

Sun 10/5 @ 3PM

British baroque composer Henry Purcell, who lived in the second half of the 17th century, was know among other things for his thrilling vocal music, both sacred and secular. He’s a great fit for Cleveland’s professional vocal ensemble Contrapunctus, which launches its second season with a program called “The Remarkable Mr. Henry Purcell.”

The high, vaulted spaces of Trinity Cathedral will ring with such pieces as “I Was Glad,” Funeral Music for Queen Mary, Jubilate in D, “Lost Is My Quiet,” and “Hear My Prayer, O Lord.”

General admission tickets are $20, $15 for seniors and students.
