With Labor Day bearing down on us like a runaway freight train, the Beachland offers one last big blast of summer with its multi-band Summerfest, a great chance to check out a batch of top local talent in one fell swoop.
Taking place both on the tavern stage and an outside stage, the event features seven diverse local acts, including indie folk rockers the Lighthouse and the Whaler (pictured), the Floorwalkers, Maura Rogers & the Bellows and Miss Macy and the Low Pay Daddies on the outside stage; the Lawton Brothers, Holden Laurence and Bro Dylan inside.
There’ll be grilled food and a beer garden outside to add to the festive vibe, and an afterparty with a DJ if you’re not quite ready to go home. It takes place rain or shine. Tickets are $10 in advance, $14 at the door.
