CoolCLE PODCAST #02: Barbershop & Dinner Parties

On this week’s episode of the CoolCLE Show, J speaks to the Greater Cleveland Chorus, a 60-strong, all female barbershop choir, about its free concert Come Fly with Us (https://www.facebook.com/events/1975243869200795/) happening October 9th at the Independence Civic Center. The bird-themed concert showcases its repertoire of songs being performed at the Sweet Adelines International Competition in St. Louis, Missouri.

She also previews two of the Music Box Supper Club’s Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties (http://www.musicboxcle.com/cleveland-stories/) with Cleveland authors, Anastasia Pantsios and Dave Schwensen. Pantsios is a local journalist and photographer whose photographic portfolio is part of a new book called “Women to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock”. Schwensen, who wrote “The Beatles in Cleveland”, also talks about how the Fab Four’s two concerts in the city back in the 60s were unlike any other.

Plus, you can hear the brand new single from Cleveland’s Seafair (https://www.seafairtheband.com/) called “Try”, as well as music from Thor Platter (http://thorplatter.com/) and The Boom Shakalakas (https://www.facebook.com/theboomshakalakas/).
