Trinity Cathedral opens its fall series of Brownbag Concerts with a couple of musicians who are familiar faces there.
Jacob Swanson and Sarah Marchitelli, who perform as the duo Jake & Sarah in addition to their individual careers as performers and teachers, are both trained classical musicians living in upstate New York specializing in an instrument you don’t usually see at classical concerts: saxophone. Since the classical repertoire for saxophone isn’t extensive, they’ve commissioned new works as part of their repertoire.
They’ll be joined for this performance by the Trinity Chamber Orchestra. Stop by on your lunch hour or make a special trip. As the name implies you can “brownbag” it, or you can buy lunch at the cathedral. The concert is free.
