With July 4 falling on Tuesday, fireworks displays were spread over the four-day weekend with cities offering the big bang booms July 1-4. And that’s not counting the guy on the next street over who was shooting them off all week.
But maybe you’re one of those people who never tires of fireworks. Good news! The annual Portage Lakes State Park fireworks display is taking place Saturday July 8 to put the cap on the holiday. It claims to be the largest privately funded fireworks display in northeast Ohio. Summit FM 91.3 is the partner station for the event with music selected to go along with the display so be sure to tune it in.
Rain date is Sunday July 9.
