The second in the City Club of Cleveland’s public forum series at Public Square is called “Earth: A Return to the Forest City.”
With preserving (and restoring) carbon dioxide-absorbing trees and forests one of the least costly measures available to combat change, the forum looks at Cleveland’s role: its past as “the Forest City,” named for its magnificent tree canopy, its present with that canopy decimated with only 19% remaining, and its future with replanting project already underway. Learn what organizations in Cleveland are doing to further this initiative.
Panelists include Holden Forests & Gardens research associate Sandra Albro; Davey Tree Expert Company VP of research & development Daniel Herms, and Quiana Singleton, community climate ambassador for the Central and Kinsman neighborhoods.
It’s free and open to all.
