Cle Pop Rockers Signals Midwest Are Back at Grog Shop for Rare Local Show

Sat 12/21 @ 8PM

Cleveland band Signals Midwest has impressive longevity — and an impressive amount of music under its collective belt. Over the course of their 11 years, they’ve also maintained relative stability, with drummer Steve Gibson, guitarist Jeff Russell and bassist Ryan Williamson behind singer/guitarist/songwriter Max Stern for most of that ride.

The group signed with the respected Tiny Engines label in the Carolinas back in 2011, and have released a steady flow of tuneful, exuberant recordings (including three full-length studio albums) that showcase their tuneful, exuberant songwriting.

They also tour regularly, taking their music around the country, instead of just playing a circuit of local bars. In fact, they don’t do that many local gigs. They were last heard hear in August when they celebrated the release of their latest album PIN in the midst of an east coast/Midwest tour.

But they’ll celebrate the holidays at the Grog Shop on a show that also features Rusted Hearts, Rude Staff Checkers and Youth Pallent. Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door, with $5 off if you bring a canned good for donation to a local food bank.
