Zaire Darden Jazz Quartet Plays a Midweek Concert at Happy Days Lodge

Drummer/composer/educator Zaire Darden is one of a large group of younger jazz musicians who make up a thriving scene in northeast Ohio. He’s a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory where he teaches in the jazz studies department. You’ll see his name listed as a performer with numerous other top jazz players, and he leads his own ensemble, the Zaire Darden Quartet.

That quartet — which also features tenor sax player Max Schlenk, pianist Timo Mok and upright bassist Milei Sagawa will be performing a midweek concert at Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s cozy, rustic Happy Days Lodge, an ideal midweek break. It’s open seating and there’s a cash bar as well Doors open at 6:30, music starts at 7, so it’ll be an early evening as well.
