The Greater Cleveland Leadership Center presents its 8th annual pitch competition Individuals Accelerate: Citizens Make Change on Thursday February 24 at the Global Center for Health Innovation and Huntington Convention Center, following a virtual presentation in 2021.
The event will feature 25 pitches from entrepreneurs and community activists, covering six categories: Authentic Cleveland Experiences, Economic Prosperity, Education, Health & Well-being, Quality of Life, and Social Change, covering issues ranging from immigration to youth wellness to environmental action. Pitches start at 4:30pm; the judges panel will selection a finalist in each category. After a 6:30 networking reception, the finalists will make their pitches. The winner gets $5,000 with each of the finalists getting $2,000. There’ll also be a “Technovation” category whose winner gets $3,500.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $35, $20 students,. Get them here. Attendees must have proof of vaccination or a recent COVID test; masks are required.
