For several years, the musician-supporting nonprofit Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present and Future has been presenting musician workshops at its space on Waterloo Road, offering free guidance on the various aspects of a career in the music business.
Recently, it began hosting similar workshops in a new space: The Sixty6 at the Midtown Collaboration Center.
There recording engineer/musician David Kennedy will share tips on “How to Use the Recording Studio,” including equipment studios use, how they use it, and the dynamics involved in completing a finished track. They’ll also learn how to find a facility that’s the right fit, and how to use web-based music production tools. The event includes a demonstration featuring artist Fox Ears.
The event is free, and The SixtySix has a bar, so you can buy some drinks to enjoy, while gaining knowledge.
