March 28 is coming up quickly — and most of you know what that means: the No Kings rallies taking place across the U.S. and the globe. And very likely, with the entire world outraged by the U.S. attack on Iran, with its constantly shifting justifications and its negative impact on the world-wide economy, it will bring out a much larger number of people than last year’s two No Kings rallies. The big Cleveland rally takes place downtown at Willard Park (the Free Stamp) while many surrounding suburbs and small towns are also hosting rallies.
If you’re chomping at the bit for this day, and getting more and more outraged daily by the news, DO something to take the edge off; join a group of like-minded people at a poster making party to create the sign you’re going to brandish to tell the world how you feel.
There’s one at Lakewood Art Supplies, hosted by the Lakewood Democratic Club, on Saturday March 21 at noon; get information here. There’s one at the Independence library on Wednesday March 25 at 6pm; info is here. And there is one at the Mayfield Library on Thursday March 26 @ 6pm; details are here. All events provide basic supplies — cardboard and markers, as well as snacks. All ages are welcome!
