Deep Roots Experience Gallery in the Fairfax neighborhood is presenting a multi-disciplinary exhibition/event called Pilot / Test / Proof, what it called “the public exhibition experience of Beyond the Table.”

It’s described as “an artist-led exhibition, album and documentary that treats creative work as workforce.” It includes paintings, installations, music, soundscapes and film to demonstrate what can result when creative labor is taken seriously enough to be rewarded by meaningful pay, clear credit and retained rights, and pathways to future work contracts.

The show/event includes art by Ajha Dean-Phillips, Mike Miller, Jazzee and Bryant “Bee1ne” Anthony, and music by Will Cherry, Ben.Frrari, Sierra Delaine and Los P.

After its opening event on Saturday June 27, it will be on view through August 30, with hours from 4-8pm on Thursdays through Saturdays, and Sundays from 3-7pm.
