Once again, the Cleveland Ballet joins in the spirit of the spooky season with a couple of ballets designed to send chills down your spine.
Its Dracula is based on the Bram Stoker gothic novel about the count who maintains his immortality by feasting on others’ blood and the vampire hunters who try to stop him from going after a young innocent woman. It features choreography by noted choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett who passed away earlier this year and live music conducted by Cleveland’s own Lorenzo Lopez.
It will share the bill with Taylor-Corbett’s Code of Silence, described as “a narrative that begins in isolation, erupts, and concludes with a full-circle resolution with a “core idea of loss, longing, and reunification.”
There will be three performances at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre. Go here for tickets.
