The Cleveland Ballet often performs outdoor shows in the summer, sharing excerpts from some of its signature works. But this week, it’ll be offering a free performance at a singularly beautiful location: Cleveland’s lakefront when it presents “Ballet on the Lake.” They’ll be performing a full-length program, which includes “Dance of the Toreadors” from Don Quixote, Picnic, set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Dances for Piano and Violin, and excerpts from their version of the beloved story ballet Swan Lake.
The performance takes place at the new North Coast Yard recreations area, where there will be food trucks, a bar and concessions — so come early and enjoy a full evening of fresh air. There is some seating, but people are encouraged to bring their own portable chairs. Reservations are encouraged. Go here.
