Ferrets Unlimited is a local nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose work revolves around a less common pet than a cat or dog: those slinky little critters known as ferrets (not “weasels.”) Since they are less common and many people attracted to their cuteness might not understand what kind of care they need, they’re often given up for rehoming or even let out in the wild where they can’t survive — these are domestic animals!
There is a great demand for their services — they are currently full — so they definitely could use some assistance. If you like to socialize and bowl, one way you can help is to attend Ferret Bowl taking place at the North Woods Lanes in Macedonia. For the very small price of $20, you get bowling shoes, unlimited bowling, snacks, and soft drinks, and can bid on raffle prizes including the Lucky Ferret 50/50 raffle.
