Bob Frank and Friends Will Fill The Floor at the Bainbridge Swing Dance

Bob Frank and Friends Will Fill The Floor at the Bainbridge Swing Dance

Sat 6/6 @ 7-11PM

There’s a slight change to this month’s Bainbridge Swing Dance, the all-ages/all-skill-levels friendly dances to live regions that take place every month at Chagrin Falls’ Family Life Center. For this month only, they’ll move to Chagrin Falls Township Hall, just a short drive from the Family Life Center, where they’ll return in July.

What won’t change is the format of the event. Doors open at 6:30, and from 7-8pm there’s a dance lesson so that everyone knows the basic steps, whether they’ve been to dozens of such dances or it’s their first time. Then, from 8-10:30pm everyone hits the dance floor to swing to live music. And this month’s music providers will be familiar to many Clevelanders.  The Bob Frank Band is led by guitarist/vocalist Bob Frank who played with the popular swing/R&B/blues/rock band Blue Lunch for more than two decades before leaving to become a solo blues artist. He’ll undoubtedly be assembling a crack band for this event from among his extensive relationship in the music community.

Once the band wraps up at 10:30, there’s a half hour of electro swing, song requests and line dancing to recorded music.

Novices and experts are both welcome. Come with your partner, as a single, or bring the whole family. Since dancers swap partners all night, you’ll get to meet lots of new people. Pay at the door; Go here for more information.
