Months ago I sat down with downtown stakeholders with an interest in seeing the Horseshoe Casino skywalk built.

It was clear early on we weren’t there to have our ideas heard. Rather, we were there so our opponents could say they met with us…

Don’t Sweat Tribe Attendance
Just Wait Until Next Year

You can tell that the issue of low attendance at Cleveland Indians games has bottomed out when the Plain Dealer‘s hanging-on-for-dear-life Brent Larkin pens a doomsday column — as he recently did — hinting that the franchise itself may be at risk for relocating because of sagging gate numbers…

Last Sunday I had four guests in the studio with me for my radio show The Forum (heard on WTAM, 1100AM from 8 to 10 pm every Sunday). Yes, that was a plug.

The topic was Russia’s outmoded stance on homosexuality and how gay athletes from around the world might be subjected to persecution when they journey there for the Winter Olympics…

MANSFIELD: Bell Peppers Don’t Vote I am glad you attended the tour Mansfield and hope you too gained a deeper understanding and appreciation our Cleveland neighborhoods. I’m sure the Mayor was very engaging in this setting. It’s been a pleasure to work with him and his Administration on greening our city…
Read the comment from Matt Zone here

Mansfield: The secondary benefit of the tour was you and the news media got a chance to witness Frank Jackson’s encyclopedic knowledge of all of Cleveland – but more importantly his passion….
Read the comment from Mary Anne Sharkey here

I hope you recognize that you’re utterly conflicted by the fact that the vineyard was made possible in the first place through a competitive grant from the city. The fact that you don’t disclose that here pains me, Mansfield…..

Northeast Ohio Media Group Wants To Make Transportation Policy What is amazing to me is that I have never seen hard numbers. All the bantering and bull**** and I have never seen a revenue vs. cost figure. Someone at Cool Cleveland or the Northeast Ohio Media group should get some facts…

I’m always happy to answer questions so feel free to reach out. We have talked before. You seem to jump between questioning the content and the quality of the video. Sorry the video wasn’t polished. I think the content is more important….

The Waterfront Line from the beginning has been a non-transit project that has cost RTA the full cost of $69 million of local tax money…
Read the comment from Roldo Bartimole here

Although these comments seem to be more about the reporting, I wanted to comment on my actual experiences being a downtown worker and riding the waterfront line. I have taken the bus from Euclid to downtown for the past 5 years….
Read the comment from Chris K. here

I am in complete agreement with Joe Baur this time. His analogy about shutting down occasional empty roads is spot on. Mark Naymik is generally a good columnist, but this utter meretriciousness about the RTA Waterfront Line is at best superficial and at worst disingenuous….
