Around here, fall magic rolls in like a film.

Like a comforting limited series, it’s nice to be able to count on the traditional autumn events like the Screw Factory’s fall open studio/art show, Oktoberfest at Put-in-Bay, Walkabout Tremont and the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival.

But it’s the new ones that really light our fire. The recently spun-off Neighborhood Pets is constructing a wellness center for your pets, and they’re throwing open their doors at a fun open house party. Akron-based choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson presents a new work on what safety means in the Black community. A documentary film on mixed-race families holds multiple screenings and events. Oberlin hosts an intriguing festival on music and sport. Summit Metro Park offers a self-guided tour of the colors of the season.

The nice thing about our region, we get all four seasons, full on. And this one may be the best yet. Roll camera.
