The Resonance Project, a new small classical music presenter in Northeast Ohio, just launched last year with a goal of making classical music more accessible to different types of listeners.
Its next program, called “A Circle of her Own,” showcases baroque ensemble CLE Concierto. They will take you back to 18th century Vienna on the magic carpet of music by several of its gifted composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn, whom you probably know, and Marianna Martines, whom you might not, although she was a prominent composer, pianist and vocalist in 18th century Vienna.
The program will feature the modern premiere of her recently discovered Keyboard Concerto in E major and La Tempesta, in addition to compositions by Mozart, Haydn and CPE Bach, who were regulars at Martines’ salon.
The concert takes place at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights. Get tickets here.
