The Cleveland Cello Society’s annual fundraiser, i Cellisti, gives its members a huge, whopping dose of cello music. Its finale features a mass cello choir performing contemporary minimalist composer Terry Riley’s 1964 composer In C, which was written to be performed by a large group of any type of instruments.
Concertgoers will also get to hear a performance by cellist Kyle Price of the Cavani String Quartet, who got his undergraduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music and joined the long-running quartet in 2019.
General admission tickets are $30; students are $5; supporting patron tickets are $100. All money raised goes to the CCS scholarship fund. The concert takes place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights.
