There’s never a bad evening to drop by Brent Kirby’s long-running 10 x 3 songwriter/band showcase taking place twice a month at the BOP STOP. And stopping by this inviting little venue designed for listening to music is a great way to come down from the holidays and start the new year.
The event, hosted by the incredibly busy guitarist/singer/songwriter/event producer Kirby, features a pre-booked lineup of 10 songwriters or bands, each of whom performs three songs, at least two of them originals. You might hear an established area performer you haven’t heard in a while or discover a rising young talent you’ve never heard of. It’s always a mix! Since 2010, he’s presented some 2,000 songwriters and bands, giving music fans the chance to hear some creative local talent defying the cover/tribute band route.
If you can’t roust yourself to get dressed, the evening is also livestreamed on the BOP STOP’s Facebook page. But why not come down and enjoy some drinks from the BOP STOP’s well-stocked bar, along with some music-loving company?
