“Portals_Thresholds” at CIA Reinberger Gallery Explores Old and New Media

Thu 3/29 @ 6-8PM

Portals_Thresholds, opening at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Reinberger Gallery, features work by Sara Ludy, Rachel Rossin and the artist collaborative Wickerham & Lomax.

Their work draws on painting, sculpture, video and virtual reality to explore ideas about science fiction, artifice and simulated reality. The show will also stretch its reach outside the gallery with new media artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s websites projected each day from 5-9pm on the digital media mesh, located on the western wall of CIA’s building, with a new website each week through June 15, when the exhibition closes.

The show opens with a reception Thu 3/29 @ 6-8pm. It’s free and open to the public. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday @ 10am-5pm, Friday @ 10am-9pm, and Saturday and Sunday @ noon-5pm
