Once again, the Cuyahoga County Public Library is celebrating National Poetry Month (April) with its READ + WRITE: 30 Days of Poetry project. Held with the collaboration to Cleveland-area poet Diane Kendig, its goal is to share the work of northeast Ohio poets with readers.
Each day all month long, it shares some poetry, accompanied by writing exercises to spur readers’ own creativity. You can read last year’s poems here to get some idea of what it’s like.
The Cuyahoga County Public Library hosts the long-running William N. Skirball Writer’s Center Poetry Workshop, now in its 48th year. Each year the workshop publishes a chapbook of the poems of workshop participants, which you can read here.
