Diana Chittester and Marc Lee Shannon Share the Stage at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall

Fri 6/1 @ 8PM

Peninisula’s G.A.R. Hall is hosting a double bill, featuring two of northeast Ohio’s outstanding music scene veterans who have just released new albums.

Diana Chittester arrived in Cleveland from her home in Pennsylvania 15 years ago, and made a place for herself in the hearts of Cleveland music lovers with her powerful, nuanced vocals, impressive guitar skills and songs that hit people in the heart. She’s equally adept at performing as a solo acoustic artist or fronting a band and rocking an electric guitar. Just a few weeks ago, she dropped a new EP, Paradox, at a show at the Beachland Tavern.

Akron’s Marc Lee Shannon spent some time in Los Angeles in the 1980s before returning home to become a member of Michael Stanley’s Resonators whom he’s played with for more than two decades. His new album, Walk This Road, featuring rootsy rock in the Tom Petty/John Hiatt vein, also came out a few weeks ago. It represented something of a comeback for him as an original artist. Since releasing his last album in 2008, he quit his corporate job and went into recovery.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
