The Sounds of St. James concert series at Lakewood’s St. James Catholic Church returns with a program of cello and vocal music.
It opens with the Guetle Cello Duo, featuring Elisabeth and Olivia Guetle, daughter o St. James music director Janet Guetle. They’ll play George Philipp Teleman’s Sonata No. 2 and Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Cellos in G Minor.
Cleveland Institute of Music vocal students Gillian Beckman, Liz Aranda and Yasmin Gerardi will then sing music by Mozart, Franz Schubert, Eva Dell’acqua and Roger Quilter enhanced by the beautiful setting of this ornate church.
There’ll be light refreshment after the concert with the chance to tell the performers how much you enjoyed them. It’s free; donations will be gratefully accepted!
