Sun 9/11 @ 11AM-5PM
Although the Glenville neighborhood hugs University Circle to the north, it’s a neighborhood that many greater Clevelanders have never been to, thinking of it as a swath of unrelieved poverty. But people in the community are trying to spotlight some of the positive things about their area with events such as Gather in Glenville, which made their debut this year.
Described as “part community brunch, gospel and soul Concert, farmers market, and makers market, the monthly events give people plenty of reason to come and stay and spend the day. The organizers “invite all of Cleveland to gather and experience the richness, diversity, and resurgence of the area.” It’s free and open to all. Advance reservations are required for the $18 brunch @ 11am-2pm, a feast of southern comfort food prepared by Clark Pope of Pope’s Kitchen and Nova Williams of N’Dulgence Catering. Go here.
